Terms of Service for spiroshader.com

Last updated: 2026-11-04. Version 2.0.

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your use of the website spiroshader.com, its subdomains and the content and downloads offered there (together, the “Site”). The Site is operated by WiderUp LLC, a Minnesota limited liability company, 2909 S Wayzata Boulevard #1019, Minneapolis, MN 55405, United States (“WiderUp”, “we”, “us”).

These Terms describe the permissions and conditions on which WiderUp makes the Site available. Where an enforceable contract requires your affirmative acceptance, merely visiting the Site does not substitute for that acceptance. If we ask you to accept these Terms for a download or other feature, we will make them available before acceptance in a form you can save. Nothing here limits rights you hold independently under law or a separate license.

1. What the Site is, and what it is not

The Site provides information about the Spiroshader™ application, the online user guides, and ways to contact WiderUp. It may later offer developer documentation, preset packs, and other downloads; their mention here is not a statement that they are currently available.

The Site does not sell or license the application. The application is licensed under the Spiroshader End-User License Agreement (the “EULA”), published at https://spiroshader.com/legal/eula, and is purchased through Steam or another store under that store’s terms. If these Terms and the EULA conflict about the application, the EULA prevails.

How WiderUp handles personal data when you visit the Site is described in the Privacy Policy for spiroshader.com at https://spiroshader.com/legal/privacy. What the application does is described in the application privacy policy at https://spiroshader.com/legal/app-privacy.

2. Product information, prices and availability

WiderUp tries to keep the Site accurate and current. Product descriptions, screenshots, videos, feature lists, system requirements, platform lists and release plans on the Site describe the product at the time they were written and may change. The product page of the store from which you buy, together with the EULA, describes what you are purchasing. This does not exclude statements on the Site that form part of the contract or bind WiderUp under consumer or advertising law. A later change to the Site does not retrospectively change what was promised when you purchased.

Prices, discounts, bundles and availability are set and shown by the stores. Any price or availability statement on the Site is informational, may differ by country and currency, and does not create an offer. Features described as planned, “coming soon” or in development are not promises that they will be released, or released in a particular form or at a particular time. WiderUp will distinguish currently available features and editions from development plans and will not use these Terms to disclaim a specific commitment expressly made to you or a misleading feature claim.

3. Using the Site

You may browse, read, print and link to the Site for lawful purposes. You may not:

Permission for reasonable automated retrieval does not itself grant a license to reproduce protected content for model training or override a valid machine-readable reservation of text-and-data-mining rights. Rights granted by a separate open license and statutory exceptions remain unaffected.

4. WiderUp’s content and trademarks

Unless stated otherwise, the text, original images, videos, graphics, logos and design of the Site belong to WiderUp or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. Except as allowed by these Terms or by law, you may not copy, modify, distribute or republish them.

You may use accurate screenshots of the application, product images and short quotations from the Site in reviews, news coverage, commentary, tutorials and videos about Spiroshader, provided you do not alter them in a misleading way and you respect third-party rights identified with the material. This permission includes monetized reviews, tutorials, and commentary and does not require a favorable opinion. Statutory quotation, criticism, review, and other protected uses remain unaffected.

Spiroshader™ and WiderUp are trademarks of WiderUp LLC. Their use is governed by the Trademarks page. Other names and marks on the Site belong to their respective owners and are used only to describe compatible formats, protocols, devices and stores; their use does not imply affiliation with or endorsement by those owners.

5. Downloads and documentation

Preset packs. Preset packs offered on the Site are licensed under the license stated with each pack, which also names the pack’s authors. That license, and not these Terms, governs your use of the pack and its contents. The applicable license and any material commercial-use restrictions will be available before download or purchase. Later changes do not revoke rights already granted under an earlier license.

Developer documentation and client libraries. Documentation of the application’s network protocols and remote-control interfaces, sample code and any client libraries are licensed under the terms stated with them, which may be an open-source license. Use of these materials to build software that controls the application is permitted. Configurations driven by third-party software are not supported by WiderUp, and the EULA continues to govern the application itself. Any limit on synchronized followers concerns use of the application under the EULA, not the independent rights granted under an open-source license for a library or documentation.

User guides. The online user guides are provided to help you use the application. Unless stated otherwise, they may be read, printed and linked to, but not republished.

Your responsibility. Downloads are provided “as is” (section 8). Please check that a download is suitable for your purpose and your system before you use it. Preset packs can produce flashing images; the health warning in section 7 applies. This does not exclude mandatory rights concerning downloads WiderUp supplies, including any required digital-content conformity or security rights.

If you believe that material on the Site infringes your copyright or other rights, please send a notice to legal@widerup.com with your name and contact details, the work you believe is infringed, the address (URL) of the material on the Site, and a statement that you are the rights holder or authorized to act for them. WiderUp will review the notice and remove or disable access to material where appropriate. If material you provided was removed and you believe this was a mistake, you may write to the same address.

7. Health warning

Videos, animations, images and downloads on the Site and the application they describe can contain strong contrast, rapid flashes and flickering patterns. Certain combinations of light, color and flashing can have adverse effects on health. A very small percentage of people may experience seizures or other symptoms when exposed to such visual stimuli, even with no prior history of epilepsy. Stop watching immediately if you feel any discomfort, and consult a doctor if you experience symptoms. The full warning is on the Health warning page.

8. Disclaimers

The Site and everything offered on it are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, WiderUp makes no warranties, express or implied, about the Site or its content and downloads, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, availability and non-infringement. WiderUp may change, suspend or discontinue the Site or any part of it at any time. This does not revoke previously granted download licenses or excuse obligations and remedies that survive discontinuation.

Information on the Site, including user guides, setup recipes and compatibility statements for devices, networks and other products, is general information. It is not professional advice about venue or event safety. Follow the instructions of the makers of your equipment and the rules that apply where you use the application. This does not disclaim a specific compatibility or safety representation that legally binds WiderUp.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits warranties, rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including your mandatory rights as a consumer.

9. Security research

WiderUp welcomes reports of security vulnerabilities in the Site at security@widerup.com. WiderUp will not bring a claim under these Terms, or any other claim of its own, against you for security research on the Site that:

This safe harbor covers WiderUp’s own claims only. If you are unsure whether your research is covered, ask at the address above before you start. If you inadvertently encounter another person’s data, stop accessing it, do not retain or disclose it beyond the minimum needed for confidential reporting, and notify WiderUp promptly. An inadvertent encounter handled in this manner does not by itself disqualify otherwise compliant research. This promise does not authorize testing third-party infrastructure or bind a hosting provider, public authority, or other third party.

10. Third-party sites and services

The Site links to and, after your consent, embeds services operated by others, including Steam, YouTube, GitHub, Patreon, Shadertoy and other sources of presets. WiderUp does not control those services, and their own terms, licenses and privacy practices apply. A link does not mean that WiderUp endorses the third party or that its content is licensed to you. This does not exclude WiderUp’s responsibility for its own decision to embed content or for processing it controls.

Videos on the Site are embedded using YouTube API Services. By playing a video on the Site, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. The video control will identify YouTube before you activate it; privacy consent for loading the embed is addressed separately in the website privacy notice.

11. Limitation of liability

The exclusions and cap below are subject to the exceptions in this section. To the fullest extent permitted by law, WiderUp will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits or business, arising out of or related to the Site or these Terms. Because the Site is provided free of charge, WiderUp’s total liability arising out of or related to the Site or these Terms will not exceed USD 50, to the fullest extent permitted by law. For consumers, the exclusions do not cover reasonably foreseeable loss caused by WiderUp’s breach, and the USD 50 cap does not apply to such loss.

These limitations do not apply to liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded, including, where applicable, liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, for gross negligence or willful misconduct, or under mandatory product-liability law. Claims about the application are governed by the EULA. For users in Germany, liability for intent, gross negligence, negligent injury to life, body or health, fraudulent concealment, an expressly assumed guarantee, or mandatory product liability is not excluded or capped. For simple negligence in breach of an essential contractual obligation, liability is limited to foreseeable damage typical of the contract without the USD 50 cap or categorical exclusions above. Essential contractual obligations are obligations whose performance is necessary to achieve the contract’s purpose and on whose performance you may ordinarily rely. Nothing here limits non-excludable consumer remedies, data-protection compensation, or liability for damage caused by defective digital content.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The state and federal courts located in Hennepin County, Minnesota have exclusive jurisdiction, except where applicable law gives you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere. If you are a consumer, you keep the mandatory protections of the law of the country where you live and any non-waivable right to bring proceedings in your local courts. For consumers habitually resident in the EEA or United Kingdom, you may bring proceedings in your home courts where consumer-jurisdiction rules provide that right; WiderUp will bring proceedings against you only in the courts permitted by those rules.

Where applicable law gives you access to a consumer dispute-resolution process, that right is unaffected. WiderUp does not otherwise commit to participate in alternative dispute-resolution proceedings.

13. Changes to these Terms

WiderUp may update these Terms by posting a revised version and changing the date above. The revised version describes future use and transactions. Posting alone does not amend a contract previously accepted by you, revoke an existing download license, or supply assent to a material change. Where notice or affirmative acceptance is required, WiderUp will provide it before relying on the change. Changes do not apply to disputes that arose before they were posted.

14. General

If a provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the rest remains in force, and the provision will be applied to the extent permitted. An invalid consumer term will not be rewritten merely to preserve a prohibited restriction; the governing legal rules apply in its place where required. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. WiderUp may transfer these Terms to a successor to the Site without reducing your existing rights. These Terms are written in English. Any translation is provided for convenience only, and the English text prevails to the extent permitted by law. This does not override mandatory language or pre-contract information requirements.
