We want everyone to be able to find out what Spiroshader™ does, whether they read the Site with a screen reader, move through it with a keyboard, zoom it, or prefer less motion. This statement covers the website spiroshader.com (the “Site”).
Standard we work to
The Site aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. This is our own assessment, made while building the Site; it has not been audited by an independent party. We describe the Site as partially conformant: most of it meets the standard, and the known exceptions are listed below.
What the Site does
- Screen readers. Every page has one main heading, headings in order, and labelled regions for the header, the main navigation, the content and the footer navigation. The current page is announced in both navigations. Images carry text alternatives; the screenshots are numbered and named.
- Keyboard. Every link and control works with the keyboard and shows a clearly visible focus outline. A “Skip to content” link is the first stop on every page. The screenshot viewer opens and closes with the keyboard, changes picture with the arrow keys, announces the picture shown, and returns you to the screenshot you opened it from.
- Reading and zoom. Text uses the size your browser sets and reflows at 400 % zoom and on narrow screens without sideways scrolling; links inside text are underlined, not marked by color alone; text and background colors are high in contrast.
- Motion. The Site has no moving or flashing content of its own. If your system asks for reduced motion, the Site also turns off its small hover animations.
Known limitations
- Screenshot descriptions. A screenshot’s text alternative is its name (for example “Purple kaleidoscope”), not a full description of the picture.
- Legal texts. The license and third-party notice texts are reproduced as their authors wrote them, including long preformatted blocks that can need horizontal scrolling on a small screen.
Photosensitivity
Spiroshader’s visuals can contain rapid flashes and flickering patterns. Please read the health warning before you use the application. In the application, Settings → General → Reduce Motion softens the app’s own sudden full-screen flashes, such as beat cuts; its Auto (system setting) option follows your system’s reduced-motion preference. Presets can still flash on their own. Settings → Safety → Flash Protection (Standard by default, Strict for sensitive viewers) dims repeated flashing, the blackout key (b by default) turns the picture black at once, and the flicker rating and filters help you avoid flashing presets. These are best effort and not a safety guarantee, and they do not replace the health warning.
